Grants of up to £3,000 are available

New funding has been made available to organisations in Cornwall struggling because of Coronavirus.

Cornwall Community Foundation said it was offering grants of up to £3,000 in response to the COVID-19 outbreak.

The grants are to cover the costs for additional work, over and above normal activities.

A statement issued by the foundation on Thursday said:

In response to the COVID-19 outbreak we have launched Cornwall Community Foundation’s Emergency Fund to support frontline organisations

Local charities and community organisations have a special role to play in reaching some of the most vulnerable people in our communities, developing trusted relationships and implementing practical support programmes that work well.

Our Emergency Fund Appeal enables us to offer grants to organisations operating in Cornwall and working with people who may be affected by the COVID-19 outbreak. These grants are to cover the costs for additional work, over and above normal activities, and in response to the impact of COVID-19 to your members or beneficiaries.

At present we have no set criteria to the additional work that may be carried out, we feel as frontline organisations you are better positioned to inform us where the funding is most needed within your local communities.

Please note these guidelines are open to change at any time owing to the uncertainties around COVID-19 and the continuingly changing circumstances. We will provide notice if this is the case and honour any application already started or completed under the current guidelines.

CCF grant criteria does apply. Please read the CCF Grant Guidelines to confirm your eligibility prior to completing an application.
